Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are infections that are transmitted through sexual contact. Millions of people are infected with an STD each year. If you have sex with a person who has an STD, even if they do not know it, you could also have one, and therefore could have the capacity to infect other people.

We use molecular biology techniques, which are state-of-the-art analytical methods based on DNA amplification and identification, which is why they are capable of detecting minimal amounts of viruses and bacteria with much greater precision than classical diagnostic techniques.

WHAT DOES THE RED ETS TRANQUILITY STUDY DETECT?

It is an analysis designed to detect minimal amounts of any microorganism that causes a sexually transmitted disease that can inhabit the mucous membranes and ulcers or lesions: Neisseria Gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia Trachomatis, Trichomonas Vaginalis, Ureaplasma Urealyticum, Ureaplasma Parvum, Mycoplasma Genitalium and Mycoplasma Hominis .

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises having these tests annually for those at high risk of infection.

WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESSES OF SEXUAL TRANSMISSION (STD)?

STDs can cause physical symptoms such as pimples, skin lesions, itching, pain or burning when urinating, fever, or symptoms of flu-like illness. But all of these symptoms can be caused by other diseases that are not sexually transmitted diseases. Also, some STDs may have no symptoms. As you can see, it is often difficult to diagnose an STD based solely on symptoms. For this reason, it is important to make a diagnosis using highly reliable laboratory tests.

CAN I HAVE A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE AND NOT KNOW IT?

Yes. Many STDs can take weeks, months, or even years to manifest their symptoms. Some people never develop symptoms, but even in this case, the infected person can transmit the disease to another person.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PARTNER HAS A TRANSMISSION DISEASE SEXUAL (STD)?

The simple answer is that you will not know if your partner is infected unless he / she tells you. Also, you should be aware that some STDs may not show symptoms and your partner may not even know they are infected.

CAN I GET A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE FROM A PUBLIC BATHROOM?

This is not very likely. Most STDs are only transmitted during sexual contact, either through skin-to-skin contact or from passing fluids from the body such as during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Crab, or pubic lice, can be passed through sexual contact, by sleeping in an infected bed, by sharing clothes, or possibly by sitting on an infected toilet. However, the louse cannot live without the human body for more than 24 hours. So getting crab infection from a toilet is possible but not likely.

CAN I GET A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE BY THE KISSES?

This is possible but not very common. If your partner's mouth is infected with STDs, then the infection can be passed on to you during kissing. That is, lesions on the lips and in the mouth can be passed by a kiss if your partner is infected. Infections within the blood such as HIV or hepatitis B or C can only be passed through kissing if there is infected blood in the mouth. If your partner has an infection in his genital area (penis or vagina), kissing on the mouth will not transmit the infection.

CAN I GET A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE THROUGH THE ORAL SEX?

Yes. During oral sex, there is skin-to-skin contact and therefore fluids can be passed from the body and that is why it is important to use a barrier to protect yourself.
